GENTLE CURVE

Where:
On any public road, usually in rural areas, open stretches, or long-distance routes where the roadway gradually bends either to the left or to the right.
These signs are placed before the start of the curve to give drivers enough time to adjust their speed and prepare for the change in direction.

Purpose:
To warn that the road ahead does not continue straight but bends gently to one side.
The sign alerts drivers to steer smoothly and adjust their driving to follow the curve safely.
It helps prevent loss of control, drifting out of the lane, or collisions with vehicles traveling in the opposite direction.

Action:
Reduce speed gradually before entering the curve, avoid braking suddenly while turning.
Keep to your lane and follow the curve smoothly using gentle steering movements.
Stay alert for other vehicles that might cut across lanes or for slow-moving traffic ahead.
Do not overtake on or near a curve, as your visibility of oncoming traffic is reduced.
Drive at a speed that allows you to remain in full control of your vehicle and to stop within the distance you can see ahead, especially at night or in wet weather.
